Aerosmith's Front Man Falls from Stage, Suffers Minor Injuries

Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler fell off the stage during a performance at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota and was airlifted to a hospital with minor injuries early Thursday.

The 61-year-old rock singer fell while dancing after the sound system failed during "Love in an Elevator," according to The Associated Press. When Tyler stopped dancing, he accidentally stepped off the stage's catwalk and fell onto some fans.

"He does a lot of dancing on the stage and he does a lot of stuff with his mike stand," said Mike Sanborn, spokesman for the Buffalo Chip Campground, which hosted the event. "He put his stand down and twirled around and stepped backwards off the stage."

So the ladies got to go to Vegas this week and perform at the Pussycat Dolls lounge. I’m sure that has to be cool for them, getting to perform on a stage that at least one of them might visit in the future. But did Mikey really have to make them dance on the bus? I suppose it had to be done since they had no time, but nothing like endangering their lives for one song. Melissa’s comment about not getting that memo was pretty funny. Can you picture the bus driver slamming on the breaks for some reason and Chelsea’s high heel going right through Asia’s leg or something stupid like that? Way to go, Mikey. The performance itself was just too quick for me to really judge any of the girls. I do know that the Pussycat Dolls cover of Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love” is my least favorite song on their record, so hearing these girls sing the oft-covered song does nothing for me.
