Computer expert Steve Parker (Peter Weller) travels to the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest, Romania, to complete a top-secret mission -- to disarm a nuclear weapon left over from the Cold War. But when a terrorist group with an imprisoned leader takes over the building and holds 37 people hostage -- including Steve's stepson -- Gen. Swain (Tom Berenger) and the beautiful Erica Long (Daryl Hannah) step in to prevent a disaster.
