The origin of Jack's tattoos? Puh-lease. On this Wednesday's Lost (10 pm/ET, on ABC), longtime fans will get the answer to a far more provocative mystery: What paralyzed John Locke and landed him in a wheelchair in the first place? Terry O'Quinn shared with TVGuide.com a sneak peek. Plus, the original cast member's thoughts on airing next season without a break.
TVGuide.com: According to the ABC summary for this episode, "Ben tries to persuade a determined Locke to call off his destructive plan by offering him some of the secrets of the island." What can you tease about Locke's plan?Terry O'Quinn: Nothing. [Laughs] I don't know how to do teases. There are no revelations I can give you because I'm not careful enough. Question: What do you think about the death of Eko on Lost? I realize that the writers are trying to keep people guessing, but come on, why did they have to kill off one of their strongest characters? They brought on three new regulars last season. They took all this time to show their backstories, how they struggled on the other side of the island, how hard it was for them to fit in with the other survivors, only to have them all killed off? I realize that Ana Lucia was a hard pill to swallow; I wasn't that upset when she died. I was disappointed when they killed off Libby. Her character had barely scratched the surface. But now Eko? To me, he was one of the most interesting people on the show. His backstory broke my heart, and he instantly became my favorite character. Even more frustrating, in the same episode in which he's killed off, they introduce two new characters who (so far anyway) don't hold a candle to Eko. Even if they did, why should we care? They'll probably be dead in a ...

I can't believe the smoke monster killed Mr. Eko! Sure, the stick-toting warlord wasn't exactly my favorite character, but he was a fascinating creature, not to mention one of the last remaining survivors of that cursed tail section. Why did Eko have to go? That's a question for Lost boys Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who addressed Eko's passing and the exit of his portrayer, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje in an interview with yours truly earlier this week.Ausiello: Another actor leaves Lost just months after he's pulled over in Hawaii for a traffic violation. This is the part where you guys tell me there's absolutely no connection.Carlton Cuse: We actually work very closely with the Honolulu police department, and they have final script approval.Damon Lindelof: Look, we feel very strongly about traffic violations, no matter how minor they are. All we can say is that Evangeline Lilly got a parking ticket last week, and she better not count her chickens.Lindelof: The hones...

ER I don't know about you, but I really wish one of these rare "special appearances" by Noah Wyle would involve Carter actually showing up at County General rather than just these far-away places. I'd be satisfied with even one Chicago visit, like the recent episode where Sharif Atkins briefly appeared in town. Well, I guess a Sudanese desert-based Carter is better than no Carter at all, eh? I did enjoy seeing him do scenes with Mary McCormack and Eamonn Walker. How horrible for that Lwendo guy to abandon his wife after he found out she was raped. Speaking of Eamonn, I love seeing yet another former Oz cast member get work. I keep waiting for Harold Perrineau and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje to walk by each other on Lost and do a "Wher
