Sandler, Brand Find Fresh Tone to Tell Some Bedtime Stories

Bedtime Stories

For Adam Sandler fans, seeing the comedian in Bedtime Stories may come as a surprise. Stripped of mature jokes and references (well, mostly), the fantastical, family movie focuses on a down-and-out hotel handyman who begins to achieve his dreams through his imagination.

For Adam Sandler, the prospect of making a Disney movie meant he finally had a movie he could take his children to see.

"I've always wanted to do a family movie," the father of two told press a recent Saturday. "I wanted to make sure that I made one movie in my career that mothers hugged me for."

Could Same-sex Partnering Quickstep to Dance?

So You Think You Can Dance by Kelsey McNeal/Fox

Could same-sex partnering make its way to the So You Think You Can Dance stage? "Anything can happen," Dance choreographer and guest judge Adam Shankman told TVGuide.com after the Season 4 finale. "It's reality television."Since rumors that Lance Bass could be a contestant on the next season of Dancing with the Stars, some fans speculate that dance shows might soon include same-sex partners.DWTS pro Cheryl Burke said recently that America isn't ready for such pairing, but Shankman is intrigued. "I would be thrilled to see something like that," he said. "It would be so new and it would break so many barriers and just crash through walls. I would love that."He doesn't know if producers would go for it."They're trying to keep people in their comfort zone," Shankman said. "But at the same time, they're trying to create new ways to keep the shows fresh, so that would be a way." Gold or Guild? Globes Nominees Debate Attending

Glenn Close by Larry Riley/FX, Jon Hamm courtesy AMC, Katherine Heigl by Scott Garfield/ABC

Katherine Heigl is in good company. Damages' Glenn Close and Mad man Jon Hamm are among the latest Golden Globe nominees to come forth and say they will not cross the WGA picket line to attend the big show. "There's no way I would cross a picket line," Variety quotes Hamm as saying. "Not only in respect to [executive producer] Matt [Weiner], but I'm in 100 percent agreement with him in this fight. It would be a drag not to go, but you have to take a stand."But will the Jan. 13 Globes ceremony actually be targeted by picketers? Hairspray helmer Adam Shankman tells Variety, "I think it would be a smack in the face if there was striking at the ceremony because it would be undermining the achievements of their own guild. I think it's a horribly counterintuitive idea to strike something that celebrates their own membership."What's your take? Would the WGA be right to picket upcoming red-carpet events? Or should they, as has been discussed, grant waivers "allowing" stars and scribes to a... read more

I just loved this number and I am starting to see some more personality in Danny — he actually connected. I am just wondering if Sara out-danced him. What do you guys think?Second Routine: Hip Hop choreographed by Shane Sparks to "Push It" by Salt-n-Pepa.Loved the song — brought back some fun memories. This is the first time I’ve seen Danny looking like he was having fun.Dominic and LaurenFirst Routine: Krump choreographed by Lil C to "I Get Money" by 50 Cent.I just didn’t feel anything from this number.
