A good-natured teddy bear of an actor, this burly player (whose middle name is, appropriately enough, Hercules) made his first big impression as a bully-turned-buddy on the high-school sitcom
Parker Lewis Can't Lose. Throughout the 1990s, Benrubi shuttled between the big and small screens. While in films he was usually stereotyped as a biker, thug or jock, TV offered him more diverse parts, including a guest spot as a young Dan Goodman on
Roseanne and a long stint on
ER as a lovable but irresponsible admissions clerk. After guest starring on a number of network shows, he landed a regular role on
Men in Trees in 2006. While that series was canceled two years later, Benrubi continues to be an in-demand actor, supplying his voice to the surreal stop-motion-animation comedy
Robot Chicken and appearing on the intriguing but quickly axed mystery series
Happy Town. In his spare time, Benrubi is an avid comic-book collector.
