What did it take to get Ann-Margret to appear on the October 14 episode of CSI? A plea from Anthony Zuiker, the creator of all things CSI, who personally wrote the episode after stepping away from his mother ship several seasons back.

The true-life spouses of TLC's Sister Wives (premiering September 26 at 10/9c) have more in common with the Henricksons of HBO's Big Love than just their polygamist lifestyle. But there are major differences as well. TV Guide Magazine spoke with Fundamentalist Mormon Kody Brown and his wives, Meri, 39, Janelle, 40, Christine, 37, and soon-to-be fourth wife Robyn, 31, about how their challenges compare to those of Bill, Barb, Nicki and Margene.
Fox's Family Guy will be presenting an hour-long Christmas special entitled Road to the North Pole, complete with three musical numbers. It's the long-running animated show's first holiday outing since Season 2. The insanity begins when Brian takes Stewie to see Santa at the mall. "They're in a very long line, so by the time they get up there, Santa goes on break," says executive producer Steve Callaghan. "Stewie gets pissed off, so he and Brian go on a road trip to the North Pole to kill Santa Claus."
What are you going to do now, MacGruber? How about return to CBS's How I Met Your Mother? In his first move since leaving the cast of Saturday Night Live, Will Forte (aka MacGruber) is reprising his role as HIMYM's Randy in this season's sixth episode. Randy, a low-level Goliath National Bank employee, briefly became Barney's 'Rebound Bro' in Season 3.
Inside Meredith and Derek's bedroom on the Grey's Anatomy set, a very naughty Patrick Dempsey climbs on top of his costar and friend of six-plus years, Ellen Pompeo, and admonishes there is to be "no thrusting." Joking that he's been "doing steroids" over his summer break, the pumped-up star plants one on Pompeo's lips before making an accusation that catches his leading lady off guard: "Did you just have a jelly doughnut?"
The lighthearted high jinks are welcome on a set that has been plagued with discontent for far too long...
Chuck takes on green, mean fighting machine Lou Ferrigno on the September 27 episode of NBC's Chuck when the former Incredible Hulk guest stars as a bodyguard named Gerard. An altercation takes place when Chuck and Sarah go to Milan, Italy, on a mission and encounter Gerard.
"My character gets sidetracked when he falls in love. He's guarding an evil spy played by Victoria's Secret model Karolina Kurkova," Ferrigno tells TV Guide Magazine. "When Chuck tries to discourage me, I try to take him down, but then he puts me in a trance."
Turns out Ferrigno's had some experience protecting and serving the people...

By the end of the season, HBO's True Blood left Bon Temps infested with vampires, werewolves, werepanthers, shape shifters, shamans, fairies and witches. I asked the cast of The Vampire Diaries, which is bringing werewolves to Mystic Falls, what other creatures they'd like to see terrorize their town.
You've seen the ads. And you may be wondering, so what is the Event? To investigate, a visitor has come to a wooded area of Calabasas, California (doubling for Atlanta), where four stars of NBC's twisty thriller have reunited at their characters' family home for the first time since they shot the pilot.

Friday Night Lights
When Friday Night Lights brings back its starting season lineup before the big 2011 series finale, the Panthers will be missing one beloved player. Turns out Gaius Charles, so great as Brian "Smash" Williams, has embraced God over football and is pursuing a masters degree in divinity.
"He and I used to text, but he has fallen off the radar," reports Lone Star's Adrianne Palicki, who will bring Tyra back to town...
