This is going to be hard to watch. With their marriage having crumbled at the end of last season, Desperate Housewives' one stable couple, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Tom (Doug Savant), will enter the series' eighth and final season as a separated couple on their way to divorce. Executive producer Bob Daily confirms to me that both will be seen dating new people.
The series is on the lookout for a fortysomething
When Renee Perry (Vanessa Williams) moved into Edie Britt's vacated home last season on Desperate Housewives, the recently single New Yorker spent a lot more time talking about sex than actually doing the deed. It appears that's all about to change, thanks to Ben Faulkner (Charles Mesure), who meets Renee in the September 25 season premiere. "I play a real estate developer," says Mesure, who previously romanced Elizabeth Mitchell on V, Maggie Grace on Lost and Jill Hennessy on Crossing Jordan. Mesure moves on to Wisteria Lane as land developer ...
Michael C. Hall
When Showtime's Dexter returns October 2, Dexter's dual personas as daddy and serial killer will exist side by side after he moves back to his old apartment complex. In addition to his original space with the air-conditioner where he stores his victims' blood samples (every home should have one), Dex has also moved ...
This season, Castle will mark the holidays in a big way. "We're planning a Ghostbusters-themed episode to air on Halloween night," reports executive producer Laurie Zaks. Who's she gonna call to offer a guest role? Original Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd, of course.
The ABC series is also planning its first Christmas episode, a good time for Castle to reunite with his MIA ...
The Walking Dead, Sarah Wayne Callies and John Bernthal
Walking Dead: Lori and Shane's pre-zombiepocalypse life will be revealed this fall. "It was fun to step out of the zombie world and show Lori with a BlackBerry," says Sarah Wayne Callies. "The scene underscores how deeply Lori and Shane love [her son] Carl, plus I hope it will finally put to bed the...
Hawaii Five-0 is getting a visit from an Easy Rider. Peter Fonda, star of the 1969 counterculture classic, will appear on the CBS procedural this October as a salty treasure-hunting sea captain.
But he's quite the unsavory character. Turns out he preys on suckers and bilks them out of millions. His reputation won't help him when he's suspected of murder.
Charles Shaughnessy and Fran Drescher
Mr. Sheffield's back... only now he's Mr. Sherwood. Twelve years after The Nanny went off the air, series stars Fran Drescher and Charles Shaughnessy are reuniting on Fran's new TV Land sitcom, Happily Divorced. But don't expect romance this time around, as Charles' character has a wandering eye aimed at Fran's gay ex-husband, Peter. Charles gives us a preview of Happily's hilarious August 17 season finale.
Felicity Huffman, Desperate Housewives
When last seen on Desperate Housewives, Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) was in the midst of another horrible night, though this was really worse than most. She and estranged husband Tom (Doug Savant) were putting on a happy front at a neighborhood dinner party that culminated with the Wisteria Lane ladies hiding a dead body in a trunk.
Felicity tells me that the September 25 season premiere will look a lot like the memorable 9 to 5 sequence when Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton comically conspired to hide a corpse, as Lynette, Susan (Teri Hatcher), Bree (Marcia Cross) and Gaby (Eva Longoria) come together to cover up Carlos' murder of Gaby's sexually abusive stepfather.
"The whole first episode is about them being accomplices in this murder and actually burying this body," previews Felicity...
On August 29, former Star Trek: Voyager skipper Kate Mulgrew joins the cast of Syfy's Warehouse 13 in a four-episode arc as Jane, a character who will prove to have a profound impact on the Warehouse — and one of its occupants with whom she shares a past.
"She is a Regent, a very important Regent," says series creator Jack Kenny. "Her first episode ("The 40th Floor"), will make her ...
