Community
You know who's really kind of hard to believe? The cast of Community.
Not because they're all talented or good-looking or whatever. They are. But that's true of most people on TV. But they only seem so smart and cool because other people — dorky sweaty writers — think of great stuff for them to do.
Not so with the Community people. The Community people — and this is kind of an outrage — are also really good at coming up with great material for themselves. They proved it, yet again, at their Comic-Con panel Saturday.

Harrison Ford
That weird sound you heard Saturday was the howl of fan boys totally freaking out: Han Solo and James Bond showed up at Comic-Con at the same time.
Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig appeared in the famed Hall H, a space reserved for the really big moments, to promote Cowboys & Aliens, the new film by Iron Man director Jon Favreau. It was an especially big deal because Ford had never been to the previous 40 Comic-Con conventions, even for such supergeek touchpoints as Blade Runner, Star Wars or the Indiana Jones films.

Wolverine
Look, it gets really crowded at Comic-Con, okay?
The main room, Hall H, was briefly shut down Saturday after one man stabbed another in the face for sitting too close to him, San Diego police told TVGuide.com.

William Shatner, Jonathan Sadowski
William Shatner has a new TV son: CBS has recast the young lead who will star opposite him in the fall comedy $#*! My Dad Says. But that's not the only change Shatner plans for the show, he tells TVGuide.com.
The role played by Ryan Devlin in the show's pilot will now be played by Friday the 13th star...

Mel Gibson
Could Mel Gibson pull an it-wasn't-me defense?
Since Friday, horrified listeners have heard recorded phone calls in which a man who sounds like the actor uses racial slurs, tells the mother of Gibson's child she deserved a recent battering, and threatens to bury her in a rose garden. A fourth call, released Wednesday, includes demands for oral sex and a threat to "burn the g------ house down."
The tapes: Day 3
All of which might seem career-ending for the Oscar-winning director of Braveheart and The Passion of the Christ — unless, somehow, it isn't Gibson's voice on the calls.
For that to be true, Gibson would have to be the victim of an extremely complicated and unusual...

Jim Parsons and William Shatner
CBS will add only five new series to its fall lineup, taking an if-it-ain't broke approach that will bring back 18 series, though some of them will be in unproven new time slots. The male-dominated new shows include the previously anticipated Hawaii Five-0 reboot, a new legal drama, The Defenders, starring Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell, a family cop drama starring Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg, and $#*! My Dad Says, a William Shatner vehicle inspired ...

Will Arnett
Fox's new primetime lineup will feature more comedy and a little less American Idol, the network announced Monday. Fox will take the bold step of cutting the long-running (and sometimes loooong) show and will introduce three dramas and four comedies, including one that pairs Will Arnett and Keri Russell.
The show, Running Wilde, will join Glee as part of the network's new Tuesday night comedy block.

Machete
Uh, wow. Robert Rodriguez's Mexploitation-inspired Machete might seem, at first glance, to have a limited audience. It's about a Mexican man who kills his enemies with, yes, machetes, and is an offshoot from Grindhouse, the Rodriguez-Quentin Tarantino collaboration that did only slightly better box office than the cult classics that inspired it. But the Machete trailer Rodriguez cheekily released to coincide with Cinco de Mayo suggests his film may have something for almost everyone. To wit:
Losties: Show veterans Michelle Rodriguez and Jeff Fahey have key roles.
Arizonans: The new trailer thoughtfully opens with a ...
