On Set Exclusive: Grey's Anatomy Celebrates 200 Episodes

Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey is riding a unicycle. It's 10 o'clock on a Wednesday morning, and the Grey's Anatomy leading man is playfully entertaining the cast and crew between scenes at a downtown Los Angeles theater complex. Long before Dempsey stepped into Derek Shepherd's sexy scrubs, he was (hidden-talent alert!) a champion juggler and avid student of the circus arts, and it's clear as he pedals around the set clad in a black tux that he's still got serious skills. "I'm tired of being an international superstar," he cracks. "I'm running away to join the circus!"

Christina Aguilera Ready to Return to The Voice's Hot Seat

The Voice

The Voice will be singing a familiar tune when it returns for Season 5 on Monay, as original coaches Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green reclaim their spinning red chairs alongside bromancers Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. And it seems Shelton — who has coached the last three winners of NBC's hit singing competition, including 17-year-old reigning champ Danielle Bradbery — wasted no time pushing the returnees' buttons. "He reminded us on many occasions that he is welcoming us back to his show," says Aguilera with a laugh. "It felt as if we never left."

Fall Preview: Newcomer Adelaide Kane Rules on Reign

Toby Regbo, Adelaide Kane, Torrance Coombs

When Adelaide Kane moved from her native Australia to Los Angeles to kick-start an acting career, her life was hardly a royal fairy tale. "I was afraid and homesick and so broke," she remembers over afternoon tea. "I was a nanny full-time to pay my rent."

Three years later, Kane is poised to rule as a breakout star of the fall season, thanks to her leading role as a teenage Mary, Queen of Scots, on The CW's new period drama Reign. The series, which has been given the plum Thursdays-at-9pm time slot following the network's biggest hit, The Vampire Diaries, is already generating plenty of buzz due to its decidedly modern spin on... read more

How The Voice Knocked Out the Competition

The Voice

Inside Stage 16 on Burbank's Warner Bros. lot, two young hopefuls are battling it out for a knockout-round spot on Team Shakira. But because this is The Voice, the coaches will trade just as many shots as the competitors.

No sooner have the aspiring divas finished a melisma-mad rendition of a Spanish-language ballad penned by their coach than Usher declares the song choice "narcissistic." While the quip is delivered with a smile, Shakira is not about to sit idly by and let Adam Levine, who quickly jumps to her defense, have all the fun. Especially when the Latin-music crossover star can deliver a smackdown in more than one language — which she handily does, to resounding cheers from the packed live audience.

And the winner of that battle is...viewers of The Voice, which, thanks to the lively chemistry of its revamped judging panel read more

Adam Levine Hits a High Note With The Voice and American Horror Story: Asylum

Adam Levine

So much for partying like a rock star. It's a little after noon on a Saturday and Adam Levine has already been up for several hours promoting NBC's hit singing competition The Voice. Thanks to a rigorous production schedule, Season 4's blind auditions, featuring new coaches Shakira and Usher, are already under way while Season 3 is in the midst of its live finals. No wonder the Maroon 5 frontman rubs his eyes sleepily as he sinks into a sofa on the Universal lot in Hollywood. "It's been harder-than-hard hours," admits Levine, 33, effortlessly cool in jeans and a white tee. "But as difficult as it is, it's still really fun because it's rewarding work."

Levine's hardly hurting for jobs these days... read more

On the Set Exclusive: Castle Investigates a Sci-Fi Convention Murder

Seamus Dever, Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion

To step onto Castle's Hollywood soundstage one early October afternoon is to boldly go where no author and his muse have gone before. Today's action is unfolding not in a gritty NYPD precinct, but on an elaborate spaceship set, all sleek steel and high-tech consoles, manned by actors clad in costumes that would look right at home aboard the USS Enterprise.

Under the watchful eye of director Jonathan Frakes (aka Star Trek: The Next Generation's Commander William T. Riker), a Shatneresque captain stoically assesses... read more

Debriefing Suits' Suave and Sexy Star Gabriel Macht

Gabriel Macht

After a long day of Suits, Gabriel Macht is ready to slip into something a little more comfortable. "I'm a T-shirt-and-jeans-with-combat-boots guy," says the Bronx-born actor, kicking back in his Toronto home after wrapping an episode of USA's whip-smart legal hit. "And if I don't have to shave, I don't."

While Macht, 40, may prefer the laid-back look, his hyper-polished character, Harvey Specter, opts to wage his courtroom battles armed in sleek Tom Ford suits. Beneath the surface, though, a case can be made that the two share a drive to succeed and a charm that's almost criminal. We deposed TV's smoothest legal eagle on crashing with his bromantic costar, ignoring the Swingers guide to dating and what it's like to have caviar with Sir Anthony Hopkins.... read more
