Ian Harding, Pretty Little Liars
Ian Harding knew playing a high school teacher involved with his student was rife with potential pitfalls, but when he read the script for Pretty Little Liars, he looked for "the heart in it." In Tuesday's midseason finale at 8/7c, Harding's character Ezra and Aria (Lucy Hale) have a serious conversation in which, Harding says, "A lot of truth is spoken." The 23-year-old actor spoke to TVGuide.com about Ezra's entanglement with the underage Aria and what's it like for Harding himself to adjust to becoming a heartthrob (and Teen Choice Award winner).
TVGuide.com: What did you think when you first read your storyline?
Ian Harding: I didn't really judge it too much because I knew there was so much of a taboo on it, but it's not like he's 50 or something. It's kind of like the perfect storm of the ...
The newest Bachelorette couple may have just gotten engaged, but the bride already has one detail for her wedding decided: There will be yellow.
Bachelorette's Chris Harrison: Ali knew night one it was Roberto
"There will certainly be yellow in the wedding. Maybe a white dress with a splash of yellow ribbon," Ali Fedotowsky tells TVGuide.com.
Throughout the season, it was no secret what the 25-year-old's favorite color was — she even wore a flowy yellow gown during the final rose ceremony.
In a surprising twist to the typical Bachelor and Bachelorette endings, Ali Fedotowsky only had one man show up to the final rose ceremony. She took a leap of faith, and Roberto, in turn, proposed. Host Chris Harrison calls that moment "lightning in a bottle" and tells TVGuide.com his advice for the new couple. Plus: Will runner-up Chris be the next Bachelor?
With only two episodes left before ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars (Tuesday 8/7c) goes on hiatus, star Ashley Benson tells TVGuide.com that her character Hanna is beginning to care less about who her friends want her to be. Which could be good news for Lucas, the nerdy boy next store who isn't likely to pass the friend test. Of course, she also has other problems, starting with messages she and her friends are getting from the mysterious "A."
TVGuide.com: What have we yet to learn about Hanna?
Ashley Benson: She's really ...
On Monday's finale episode of The Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky will hand out her final rose — or will she? Recent reports have raised the possibility that Ali may end this season all by her lonesome. Who do you want her to end up with? Roberto, the sexy former baseball player with whom she's had strong chemistry since Day One? Or Chris L., the family man whose relationship with Ali went from friendship to much more?
This season's "Men Tell All" episode of The Bachelorette was light-hearted and fun — because two of this season's most talked-about contestants, Justin and Frank, weren't there. As Chris Harrison tells TVGuide.com, Justin chose not to show, while Frank was purposely excluded so that he could appear on next week's "After the Finale Rose." Harrison shares what didn't make it on this week's episode — including Derrick (aka "Shooter") explaining why he chose to tell such an embarrassing story on Night One — and also which of the final two men remaining, Roberto and Chris L., is the overwhelming favorite to win Ali's heart.
Pretty Little Liars has tackled storylines such as a student/teacher relationship, divorce and disapproving parents. For Shay Mitchell's Emily, high school is hard enough, and it's more difficult that "she doesn't know who she can talk to or who is going to support her" about her budding sexuality, Mitchell says.
