World of Jenks
What's it like being slapped by a rapper or begging for food while living on the streets? Documentary filmmaker Andrew Jenks knows. He lived it.
In his new MTV series World of Jenks (Monday, 10/9c), the 24-year-old filmed the lives of 12 very different individuals, immersing himself in each of their worlds. Jenks spoke to TVGuide.com about how he was able to understand how someone like rap star Maino, who has spent time in jail and on the streets, become an inspiration to his hometown, or why a girl nicknamed Heavy D chooses to be homeless. Plus: Jenks reveals the toughest moment to shoot.

Pair of Kings
Imagine a world where you could have a twin of another race, date a mermaid, and be a king as a teenager. That's what life is like on Disney's latest action-adventure series Pair of Kings. Starring Doc Shaw (The Suite Life on Deck) and Mitchel Musso (Hannah Montana), Kings will premiere on Disney, then moves over to Disney XD, the company's more male-oriented station. But co-star Kelsey Chow (One Tree Hill) says girls have a reason to tune in as well. "We've got a lot of cute boys and (my character) Mikayla is a good role model for girls," she told TVGuide.com on a recent visit to the set. Shaw also tells us what's so special about the island of Kinkow and why being a king isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Last season, the CW parlayed a successful book series into a television show that has become an obsession for many of us. As The Vampire Diaries Season 1 left off, Katherine (Nina Dobrev) finally showed up, and we watched Hottie McHotterson vamp Damon (Ian Sommerhalder) lay a big wet one on Elena. Turns out it was actually Katherine, Elena's doppelganger and evil vampire twin from the 19th century. And then there was the whole chopping-off of Uncle John's fingers (with the ring that protects him), the death of Mayor Lockwood after the device revealed him to be something of the supernatural sort (werewolf, perhaps?), and a car crash that left Caroline's life hanging in the balance. So with that, let's get to recapping the premiere!
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino
The cast of Jersey Shore may have coined a few catchy phrases on the show, but don't count on them getting their own trademarks any time soon.
According to The Washington Post, U.S. Patent and Trademark records show that cast members have had a tough time securing their signature nicknames.
The Emmys will soon have some competition.

The show will be broadcast from New York City to coincide with upfront presentations, when the networks traditionally unveil their fall lineups to advertisers.
Fox still hasn't confirmed whether Steven Tyler will be sitting behind the judges' table on American Idol come January, but bandmate Joe Perry isn't at a loss for words about the idea.
During a recent interview with the Calgary Herald, Perry seemed unsure he'd have a job with Tyler's new gig. "He's signed a contract that's taking him out of the music business for up to seven months of the year — that kind of throws a wrench into things," the Aerosmith guitarist said.
