Comcast Launches Missing Kids On Demand

Comcast is launching Missing Kids On Demand, a public service initiative that will make information about missing children available to its video customers across the United States, the company announced Thursday.

"The best way to help find a missing child is to get the message out as broadly as possible," Ernie Allen, president and CEO of National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, said in a statement.  "Our partnership with Comcast enables us to reach millions of homes across the country we may not otherwise reach and empowers viewers with the resources they need to help solve cases."

Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi is locked in a custody fight for her daughter, Krishna.

On Wednesday, Adam Dell sued for custody, claiming that Lakshmi is "either unable or unwilling to moderate either her social or business travel" for the child's sake," The Associate Press reports. The venture capitalist claims that although a paternity test proved he's Krishna's father, Lakshmi is sidelining him for her current boyfriend, Ted Forstmann.

Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson has undergone surgery for a perforated ulcer, The Associated Press reports.

Jackson was admitted to a Wellington, New Zealand, hospital on Wednesday after suffering severe stomach pains, his publicist said. He is now resting comfortably and expected to make a full recovery.
