Why privately approach a peer with praise when you can be totally weird about it on the Internet? On the surface, that seems to be the philosophy that drove Jim Carrey to post a two-minute video love letter to Emma Stone on his website, Jim Carrey True Life.
Well it's either that, or he just wants traffic to his new site, as the video seems calculated to invite gawking...
At one point, a cleaner on Monday's episode of Hoarders (9/8c, A&E) compares the house of Lisa, one of this week's hoarders, to the one in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. But the episode reveals its macabre core way earlier than that: In the scene below, Lisa and her daughter discuss Lisa's ghoulish culinary tendencies. Joyce - Hoarding: Buried Alive
Heaping piles of dolls are having a moment!
Earlier this season on Hoarders, we met Phyllis, who rifles through bins at the Salvation Army for dolls to rescue and perform "surgery" on. TLC will feature Marilyn Mansfield, who has 500 dolls and rolls one into a shoe store to be outfitted in sandals, on My Collection Obsession (Sunday, 10/9c). Mansfield, who got her stage name by combining those of Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield, has a particular love of "reborn" dolls — those which closely resemble real babies and cost hundreds of dollars (Mansfield tells us that her most expensive doll cost $1,200). In typical TLC quirk-adoring fashion, the highlight of Mansfield's segment occurs when she carts a doll that's the size of a 5-year-old child into a shoe store to have it fitted, much to the astonishment of the store's employees...
