Rita Verreos, Survivor: Fiji
Since CBS' Survivor: Fiji has been shuffled all over the place because of basketball — off last week, airing Wednesday at 8 pm/ET this week — and all of the promos are promising a big twist, you might have forgotten that Rita Verreos was blindsided during the show's most recent torch-snuffing. But while Rita may have laid low during the game, the sassy single mom let loose during her interview with TVGuide.com about what it would take to win this game, the problem with beauty pageants, and Moto's utterly unfair advantage.
TVGuide.com: As a single mom, what did your kids think of you getting voted off?
Rita Verreos: They were so sad because they couldn't figure out why. What did Mommy do that was so bad? In fact, I'm still trying to figure out what I did that was so detrimental.
Brittany Diiorio, The Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll
Considering such salacious Pussycat Dolls lyrics as, "Doncha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me?" and "I don't need a hand if it only wants to grab one thing," it's kind of surprising that the girl group draws the line at a new member who is too sexy. Wha? TVGuide.com was baffled that Brittany Diiorio was booted from the CW's The Search for the Next Doll (Tuesdays at 9 pm/ET) when her moves were deemed too provocative by the judges and choreographer Mikey Minden. Lil' Kim is one of the judges, for goodness' sake, and she's not exactly known for her ladylike ways. We invited Brittany to shed some light on this situation.
TVGuide.com: I was surprised t
Jared Padalecki, Supernatural
Supernatural fans best know Jared Padalecki as Sam, the normally sweet Winchester brother who works with Dean (Jensen Ackles) to fight off otherworldly beings on the CW's underrated but well-written and -acted drama that has the unfortunate task of airing Thursdays at 9 pm/ET, opposite two of television's hottest series. Hunting down Jared for an interview proved easier said than done — the show shoots in Vancouver, and since the primary cast is only two people, they tend to be a little busy! But TVGuide.com finally caught up with the adorable former Gilmore Girls hottie and asked him some of our own burning questions. Plus: The scoop on Sam's upcoming good lovin'!
James Lesure, Las Vegas
It sure was a treat to speak to the delightfully charming James Lesure, one of the hot stars of NBC's action-packed Las Vegas. Unfortunately, we spoke to him before all the big news broke about the show returning for another season, and without original cast members James Caan and Nikki Cox. However, Lesure, who plays smooth-talking surveillance team member Mike Cannon, still managed to spill a few details about his working relationships on the show and to hype tonight's huge season finale.
TVGuide.com: Got any fun plans for your hiatus?
James Lesure: I hope to clean up the place where I st
Gary Stritesky, Survivor: Fiji
Getting your torch snuffed on CBS' Survivor: Fiji (Thursdays at 9 pm/ET) is always tough to take, but having to leave the island because of a medical emergency is truly the worst way to go home, as Gary Stritesky learned last week. Dubbed "Papa Smurf" by the Moto crew, the lovable 55-year-old was plagued with dizziness and shortness of breath for days before he finally gave into the advice of the medical team and said goodbye to the beach and hello to the hospital. TVGuide.com caught up with the bus driver/carpenter to find out what exactly the problem was.
TVGuide.com: How are you feeling?
Gary Stritesky: Good. We've gotten back in the groove here, everything's going good.
TVGuide.com: They patched you all up?
Gary: Yeah, it was more that I had them bug-bite deals....
Liliana Gomez, Survivor: Fiji
On CBS' Survivor: Fiji (Thursdays at 8 pm/ET), there are the haves and the have-nots. The Moto tribe has been blessed this season with a sweet shelter, plenty of food, a winning spirit and even a cushy bed. But last Thursday, even though Moto won immunity, they decided to give it up, go to tribal council and vote someone off in order to hold onto their beach. And this was just a day after they lost Gary to illness! (See "Papa Smurf's" own Q&A.) TVGuide.com spoke with the victim of Moto's shoddy plan, Liliana Gomez, to find out what the heck her tribe was thinking.
TVGuide.com: I am so disappointed to see you go. You came out so strong.
Liliana Gomez: I know,
Sylvia Kwan, Survivor: Fiji
Much like Survivor: Fiji 's previous eviction (of Erica), Sylvia Kwan's torch-snuffing last Thursday was pretty much caused by one false move. Whereas Erica freaked out in a challenge, Sylvia made the mistake of coming on too strong, too fast. But an ousting from this reality show didn't dampen the spunky 52-year-old architect's spirits for long. She was a bundle of entertaining energy when TVGuide.com caught up with her.
TVGuide.com: You came out of the gate as one of the strongest players.
Sylvia Kwan: Yeah, but then I went plbbbbbtt. Really fast.
TVGuide.com: Was your strategy going in to be a leader?
Sylvia: No!!! You learn in Survivor 1
Kristen Bell in Fifty Pills
On the CW's Veronica Mars (Tuesdays at 9 pm/ET), Kristen Bell plays a sassy crime fighter who revels in putting the bad guys behind bars (or at least getting a bit of payback). But in the newly released DVD for Fifty Pills, fans will get to see quite a different side of her as a somewhat proper love interest to a fella who has to sell Ecstasy in order to stay in college. TVGuide.com asked Bell about the indie flick as well as the rest of Veronica Mars' Season 3 — including her current take on Logan and Veronica's fate.
TVGuide.com: Fifty Pills has sort of an American Pie kind of vibe.
Kristen Bell: Yeah, it definitely has that feel to it.
TVGuide.com: And you get to play the nice good girl.
Heather Goldenhersh, The Class
With only two episodes left before CBS' The Class (Mondays at 8:30 pm/ET) starts on its early "school vacation," we at TVGuide.com were dying to find out what is happening between one of the oddest but most adorable couples on TV, Lina (Heather Goldenhersh) and Richie (Jesse Tyler Ferguson). Now that they've finally managed to overcome some problems — he had a wife; he ran Lina over with his car; Lina was in a wheelchair for most of those episodes; their first awkward time together — they've really come into their own, which must mean there is more trouble ahead, right? Goldenhersh, a New Yorker, was happy to chat with us from her East Coast dwelling and offer a real behind-the-scenes look at the sitcom.
TVGuide.com: Is The Clas
Jamie Bamber with Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ghost Whisperer
Normally he's seen as the rugged and commanding Lee "Apollo" Adama on Battlestar Galactica, but Jamie Bamber is taking a brief break from the skies for a guest-starring role on tonight's new Ghost Whisperer (8 pm/ET on CBS). TVGuide.com was even more excited to discover that the intergalactic star, who speaks with a dreamy British accent in real life, would be playing not one but two roles on the Jennifer Love Hewitt series. The sweet Bamber was excited to talk about his special appearance, as well as give a little look at the rest of the season of Battlestar.
TVGuide.com: How did this role on Ghost Whisperer come about?
Bamber: I just moved down to L
