Even though Earl (Jason Lee) gave up his life of crime way back when, he's been lucky enough to maintain the loyalty of every crook in Camden – until this week's episode. With Randy's (Ethan Suplee) birthday approaching, Earl dropped some cash on a Ford Ranchero to give his brother. After it was stolen by Clyde Fowler and his partner Bedbug, he had to drop $1500 to buy it back. When it was stolen a second time, he was forced to start dropping some information down at the police station. Crooks don't take kindly to that.

In this week's episode, Earl (Jason Lee) learns that Randy (Ethan Suplee) has been harboring a secret ambition to become a cheerleader. Heading to cheerleader camp in order to live out that dream seems easy enough until they meet Kimmi Himler (Jenna Elfman), the head of the camp. However, the biggest obstacle in their way turns out to be Earl's pride.

This week's My Name Is Earl showcased a guest performance by David Arquette as Sweet Johnny, a daredevil who's inability to form new memories makes crossing him off the list especially difficult for Earl (Jason Lee). But while Arquette and our cast of regulars pulled off some humorous performances, things just weren't as breathlessly funny as they've been in the past few weeks.
