It turns out spoilers aren't the worst thing. In fact, a new study suggests that knowing the end of a story in advance may actually enhance enjoyment.
According to Reuters, researchers at the University of California at San Diego tested three different types of stories by authors like John Updike, Roald Dahl and Agatha Christie and found that readers actually preferred the versions with a spoiler paragraph written into the plot. Both the original version and edited version of each story was read by up to 30 people.
Fans of Friday Night Lights can look forward to a surprise Easter egg on the final season DVD: an alternate ending to the series finale.

After being inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame on Friday, the man formerly known for his outlandish style and multiple tattoos gave an emotional speech. "I could have been dead; I could have been a drug dealer; I could have been homeless — I was homeless," the five-time NBA champion said. "A lot of you guys here in the Hall of Fame know what I'm talking about, living in the projects and trying to get out of the projects. I did that, but it took a lot of hard work and lot of bumps along the road."
