Will Dexter Make for a Bloody-Good Daddy?

Michael C. Hall, Dexter

Parenthood has not quelled the bloodthirsty beast inside Dexter Morgan, Michael C. Hall revealed at the Dexter panel at the San Diego Comic-Con.

If anything, the scourge of other serial killers is antsier than ever, thanks to sleep deprivation.

"The theory of being a father, for all of its conventions, appealed to Dexter," Hall said. "The reality... is something else entirely. He didn't appreciate how trapped it would make him feel, and how difficult it would be to exorcise his compulsions."

Shirley Jones, David Cassidy

I think I love this: Shirley Jones will guest-star on ABC Family's Ruby & the Rockits, playing mother to David and Patrick Cassidy, her real-life stepson and son, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Shaun Cassidy, another of the actress' sons with the late actor Jack Cassidy, executive-produces the new comedy. He joked that Jones got the role the old-fashioned way.

"She slept with the producer," he tells TVGuide.com. "Although in her defense, I was two years old at the time and afraid of the dark."

T.R. Knight Reveals Why He Left Grey's Anatomy

T.R. Knight and Shonda Rhimes

T.R. Knight says a "breakdown in communication" with Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes led him to quit the hit ABC drama — and that Rhimes tried to discourage him from coming out soon after Isaiah Washington used an anti-gay slur.

Knight said that during "IsaiahGate" — when Washington referred to Knight with an anti-gay slur during an October 2006 on-set argument with Patrick Dempsey — Rhimes "was concerned about having my [coming out] statement come out so close to the event."

Rhimes denies it: "I said [to T.R.], 'If you want to come out, that's awesome,'" she told Entertainment Weekly.
