Roush on Jericho
Question: I haven't seen any major advertising for the new shortened season of
Jericho. Why wouldn't CBS, knowing it has a cult hit and possibly more, advertise
Jericho's comeback? This strike would be a perfect opportunity to reel in some new viewers for an already great show. I just don't understand. Do you think CBS has no intention at all of bringing
Jericho back next year, despite the ratings it may or may not get come February?

Matt Roush: I think you're getting too nervous too soon. The show's premiere is still weeks away (Feb. 12, to be exact), and while it seems to me I've seen more promos for the new season of Big Brother (which premieres the same night) than of Jericho, I can't vouch for how many promos have aired on CBS lately. It's not like I monitor these things. There's still plenty of time for CBS to get the word out, and better to do it closer to the launch date, anyway. It's not like the media are going to ignore the show's return. Anything but. I'll be watching the episodes I've been sent as soon as I get the opportunity, and will be reviewing the show's return when it's timely. To worry about the show's renewal before it even returns is pure folly. Just be glad it's coming back at all. That's enough of a minor miracle.
