iCarly's Noah Munck, better known as the excitable, shirt-shedding Gibby, has been promoted to series regular, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Munck, 14, has been baring his tummy for Nickelodeon's iCarly on a recurring basis for the past three years but says he's much more reserved than his character.
"I'm quieter, but that just makes it more fun to break out and go crazy on the show," he said.
Jane Lynch to be a mom — on iCarly
Munck was just 11 when he first learned that Gibby's signature move would be ripping his shirt off in a sort of bizarre victory dance. "I was weirded out by it at first, and I was really nervous about doing it," he said. "But then it became a regular daily activity ... I can't go anywhere now without people yelling 'Gibby! Take your shirt off!'"
He's been game for anything ever since.
