The Young and the Restless Renewed for Three More Years

Young and the Restless

CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless has been renewed for three more years, the network announced Monday.

The Young and the Restless, which debuted in 1973, has ranked as the top-rated daytime drama for the last 22 years.  The pick-up comes weeks after fellow Sony-produced soap Days of Our Lives was renewed for two more years.

The series has won seven daytime Emmys for drama series. Famous former cast members include Tom Selleck and David Hasselhoff. Hasselhoff, who played Dr. William "Snapper" Foster Jr., returned for an arc in June.
