CMT Cancels Working Class

CMT has canceled its first scripted series, Working Class.
"Unfortunately, CMT will not be pursuing a second season of Working Class. We're sad to see it go," read a message on the show's Facebook page.

The sitcom, which wrapped its first season on April 1, starred Melissa Peterman as a single mom who moves her family to an upscale suburb. Ed Asner played her grumpy co-worker at a grocery store.
Peterman can still be seen on CMT: She hosts Singing Bee, which kicks off its fourth season on Friday.
