The L Word Creator Ilene Chaiken Heads to CBS

The L Word and The Real L Word creator Ilene Chaiken is expanding her TV series vocabulary.
Chaiken has signed on to serve as executive producer on Hail Mary, a drama pilot recently picked up by CBS. She'll serve along side fellow executive producers Joel Silver and Jeff Wadlow (who wrote the pilot). Hail Mary is an Atlanta-set P.I. drama about a suburban single mom who teams up with a street hustler to solve crimes.
The L Word ran for five years on Showtime and spawned last year's reality show spinoff, The Real L Word. Should it go to series, Hail Mary would represent Chaiken's first series since that franchise. Chaiken also wrote the infamous Pamela Anderson movie Barb Wire.
