Betty White, SNL Stars to Toast Tina Fey

Betty White

Betty White and a handful of Saturday Night Live stars will be on hand to honor Tina Fey when she accepts the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor later this year.

White will join Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Fred Armisen and SNL creator Lorne Michaels at the Nov. 9 ceremony at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Michaels won the award — the nation's top humor prize — in 2004.

Other stars set to appear include Jennifer Hudson, Steve Martin and Mad Men's Jon Hamm, who recurs as Fey's pretty-but-dim sometime paramour Dr. Drew Baird on 30 Rock.

Fey, who was SNL's first female head writer, is the third woman to receive the honor in the award's 13-year history, following Lily Tomlin in 2003 and Whoopi Goldberg in 2001.

The ceremony will air Nov. 14 on PBS.
