Watercooler: Has Flipping Out's Jeff Lewis Finally Calmed Down?

Jeff Lewis

So if the show is called Flipping Out, one would imagine there would be, you know, some flipping out, right? At least maybe a few rage-fueled screaming matches like in seasons past?

Apparently not so much anymore. At least that was the case during last night's fifth-season premiere, which seemed to be all about the softer side of Jeff Lewis. And truth be told, that's OK with us. Especially if it means that the former "fun gay" can get back to having a ball instead being an angerball. As he told TV Guide Magazine, "I think there is a 'gay fun' scale and, comparatively, I'm not that fun. But I am more fun than last year."

And how! Just from what we saw in the opener, our boy is way happier — and goofier — now that he has transitioned from house-flipper to interior renovator. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he no longer has to worry about this tragic housing market. Or maybe it has something to do with the new man in his life. After all, it's been a while since Jeff had someone other than Jenni to joke around with, and this guy Gage seems to be a good fit.

What about you? Think Jeff has found some happiness at last? Or has he lost his edge?
