HBO has released a trailer for Aaron Sorkin's new drama series, The Newsroom.
As The West Wing creator has done before with Sports Night and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Sorkin again offers viewers a behind-the-scenes look at a television show. This time around, the show-within-a-show is cable news program led by Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels), the network's brash and controversial news anchor. He answers to Sam Waterston (playing the network's president), and Jane Fonda, who stars as CEO of the network's parent company.

Jon Tenney, Emily Mortimer, Alison Pill, John Gallagher, Jr., Olivia Munn, Dev Patel and Thomas Sadoski will also star.
