Veronica Mars fans who donated $35 or more to the Kickstarter campaign that financed the recent movie adaptation were promised a digital download of the film upon its release. Unfortunately for many fans, that didn't come to fruition.
On Friday night, many users took to Twitter to complain that the movie wasn't downloading properly from Flixster. Creator Rob Thomas responded promptly on the movie's Kickstarter page. "I genuinely want today to be perfect for all of you," he wrote. "It's March 14. Today, your movie came out worldwide, and I want you to be able to watch it on whatever platform or device works best for your needs."

Thomas encouraged users to contact Warner Bros. customer support. According to Entertainment Weekly, supporters were told they could either contact Flixster customer support to try to work through the issue, purchase the movie through iTunes or Amazon and submit a receipt to be refunded, or get an immediate $10 refund.
By Saturday, the problem seemed to have been resolved. Warner Bros. also issued a statement, according to EW, which reads in part: "The vast majority of Veronica Mars backers who attempted to redeem their code had a successful experience. ... We are, of course, working diligently to ensure that all the Veronica Mars backers have a great experience."
