In the eighth episode, titled "Ordinary People" and airing Thursday, Nov.3 at 8/7c on The CW, viewers will get their first glimpse of Esther during a 1,000-year flashback featuring her children Klaus (Joseph Morgan) Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt). Esther, played by Alice Evans, is as fierce as her sons, but longs to protect her family. Plus: Look closely and you'll see that Esther is wearing a very important piece of jewelry.
