Whitney Houston was a favorite target of Joan Rivers', but the funnywoman acknowledges that it's inappropriate to mock the singer right now. After Houston died Saturday, E! pulled a Fashion Police episode in which Rivers pokes fun at Houston, and WE had to amend a future episode of Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? as well.

"Up until she was dead, everybody was [making drug jokes about Houston]," Rivers said on Thursday's Watch What Happens: Live. "Winona Ryder — you do stealing jokes. Whitney Houston — you did smoking jokes and broke jokes, so of course we pulled it."

"You don't want to [do a joke] once somebody's dead. That's why I don't do a Betty White joke," she cracked. You don't know!"
