Country music legend Dwight Yoakam has joined the cast of Under the Dome for Season 2, TVGuide.com has learned.
The two-time Grammy winner will play Lyle Chumley, who runs Chester's Mill's barbershop, the Two Scissors. Lyle has a complicated history with Big Jim (Dean Norris) having once been romantically linked with his dead wife, Pauline (ER alum Sherry Stringfield). Like Pauline, Lyle has a mysterious connection to the Dome and very well may know the answer to its origins.

In addition to having 12 gold and nine platinum albums, including the triple-platinum This Time, Yoakam has co-starred in several films, including Panic Room and Sling Blade, for which he earned a Screen Actors Guild nomination as part of the ensemble. He most recently recurred on Wilfred.
Yoakam, who will recur in multiple episodes, joins previously announced Season 2 additions Stringfield, Eddie Cahill and Karla Crome.
Under the Dome returns Monday, June 30 at 10/9c on CBS.
