Ty Pennington Jumps On Board The Revolution for ABC Daytime

Ty Pennington will make it work alongside Project Runway's Tim Gunn on ABC's upcoming daytime show The Revolution, the network announced Monday.
The longtime host of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition also joins fitness and nutrition expert Harley Pasternak on the daily program about health and lifestyle transformations. Specifically, The Revolution aims to help viewers in the areas of family, fashion, home design, personal finance, food, jobs and overall well-being.

"Ty's passionate and deep connection to everyone he helps makes him the perfect choice to join The Revolution," Disney/ABC television group's president of daytime, Brian Frons, said in a statement. "The energy he brings with him is an excellent complement to our previously named hosts, Tim Gunn and Harley Pasternak. Our goal is to include inspiring and informative motivators as we build The Revolution team and continue to evolve our lineup with the type of lifestyle programming that daytime viewers are interested in seeing."
The Revolution is produced by 3Ball Productions, the same company behind The Biggest Loser and Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition. The show will replace departing soap One Life to Live on ABC's daytime schedule and is set to premiere in January 2012.
