HBO has ordered up a 12-episode fourth season of True Blood, which is set to air in the summer of 2011, the network announced Monday.

The series, which follows the relationship between telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), has featured other mythological creatures, including shapeshifters and, this season, werewolves.
