Allan Hyde who played Godric, Eric's peaceful and sun-seeking maker, will reprise his role on True Blood, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Details, like a vampire's heartbeat, are scarce. It's not clear when Godric will return nor how he'll return considering he already burned to a crisp in the sun. Will he appear in a flashback as a friendly ghost mentor? Or perhaps he'll pop up in one of Eric's fantasies?
True Blood EP Alan Ball told TVLine.com, which first reported the news, that audiences will see "a different side of Godric."
