Embarking on the latest chapter of their reality-TV careers, former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Tori Spelling and her hubby, Dean McDermott, give wedding planning a whirl.
TV Guide Magazine: Do you like your new job?
Tori: I'm not going to lie — being a wedding planner is more work than I've ever done in my entire life. But the fulfillment you get at the end of the day — you can't match that.
Dean: Every wedding has ups and downs — that's what makes them fun
to watch.
TV Guide Magazine: Have you had a favorite theme so far?
Tori: I just always wanted to throw a Marie Antoinette party — extravagant and over the top with candelabras and cakes everywhere. When we met a couple who loved that vision, we were really excited.
Dean: Mine was a steampunk wedding. We had these aerial acrobats — it was pretty cool.
TV Guide Magazine: Have you heard any strange requests?
Dean: Not really.
Tori: Well, that Arabian Nights wedding. She wanted to come in on a magic carpet and she wanted a camel. That was an odd request.
Dean: [Laughs] But we did it.
TV Guide Magazine: OK, what's your all-time favorite TV wedding?
Dean: Other than Donna and David?
Tori: [Laughs] I always see weddings on TV and think I could plan it better.
Dean: They don't compare to our wedding in Fiji — it's pretty hard to top.
