That question lies at the center of Torchwood: Miracle Day, which follows what happens when suddenly no one on Earth dies and the population slowly begins to rise. The latest installment of the BBC series sees the secret Torchwood institute, including Capt. Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) and Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles), come to the U.S. to try to work with the CIA.

The new season will also star Mekhi Phifer (ER), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) and Bill Pullman (Independence Day).
