Tonya Harding Welcomes a Son

Tonya Harding

Tonya Harding has given birth to a baby boy.

The former figure skating champ delivered her son Saturday via Cesarean section in a Washington state hospital, The Oregonian reported.

"Everybody's healthy and happy," her friend, Don Horn, told the paper. "She's always wanted a baby," he said. "She was told she could never have a child ... and guess what? It really is a miracle and she really is very happy."

The baby is the first child for Harding, 40, and her husband, Joseph Price, whom she married in June.

Harding won the U.S. national figure skating titles in 1991 and 1994, but had her second title stripped after her ex-husband, Jeff Gillooly, and bodyguard, Shawn Eckhardt, hired Shane Stant to injure Nancy Kerrigan's leg. Harding pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution and was banned for life from amateur skating.

She later took up boxing and was also a regular commentator on truTV's World Dumbest.
