Andie MacDowell stars in the first of two political thrillers, based on novels by crime writer Patricia Cornwell, as manipulative D.A. Monique "Money" Lamont. Bent on becoming governor, Lamont uses her top investigator (Daniel Sunjata) to sway public opinion in her favor by reopening a 20-year-old unsolved murder case. This will prove she's tough on crime for sure! But karma has a way of poking its head into the best-laid plans, and Lamont soon finds herself on the receiving end of her past bad ways. The second of the two 2010 cable films, Patricia Cornwell's The Front, airs on the 17th. — Rhoda Charles

But inquiring minds want to know: Will Fey deliver her riotous impression of ever-rising politico Sarah Palin? This behind-the-scenes, before-the fight series, which starts tonight, features undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr., and welterweight boxing champ Shane Mosley preparing for their May 1 get-together. Mayweather and Mosley have been two of the sport's biggest names for years, and have been pumping up their fight by showing intense dislike for each other during their just-concluded press tour. — Dave Roeder
