The Hills

The Hills
10/9c MTV
Lauren Conrad may have left The Hills last May, but the drama has certainly stuck around — especially with Lauren's pre-Spencer nemesis, Kristin Cavallari, poised to take her place as series star. The Laguna Beach vixen is sure to stir up some trouble when she sets her sights on Audrina's ex, Justin, when the second half of Season 5 kicks off this evening. — Karen Andzejewicz

Dancing with the Stars

9/8c ABC
None of this season's remaining celebrities have to worry about joining Kenny Mayne's dreaded "Loser's Club" (reserved exclusively for those voted out first), but leaving this early in the competition still isn't fun. Nevertheless, someone must follow Ashley Hamilton and Macy Gray out the door as this large field of contestants continues to get pared down. — Jennifer Sankowski

Melrose Place
9/8c CW
CW announced last week that Heather Locklear will reprise her role as Amanda Woodward come November. And tonight another original cast member makes a triumphant return. Josie Bissett is back as Jane Andrews Mancini, first wife of Michael and sister to the late Sydney. She shows up at 4616 Melrose Place and has some news for the tenants: She's their new landlord. Meanwhile, Det. Rodriguez has some questions for Violet concerning Sydney's death. — Karen Andzejewicz

Sons of Anarchy
10/9c FX
What with Gemma's rape and Jax's challenge, this has not been a good season for Clay so far, and things don't get any better tonight, when the gang rides up to Oregon to take part in a blood-donation drive (and run some guns while they're at it). The simmering battle of wills with Jax erupts when Tig is captured by bounty hunters. And speaking of battles of wills, one's brewing between Gemma and Zobelle (Adam Arkin) as she begins to figure out who's behind her attack. — Paul Droesch

The Joy Behar Show
9/8c HLN
The View co-host Joy Behar debuts her new HLN talkfest, which promises to tackle "provocative watercooler issues." As she recently explained, "It's not limited just to politics. I'm interested in everything except sports." And while she does lilt a tad to the left, when it comes to politics (or anything else) don't expect a lovefest. "I don't want people on who agree with me," she says. "There is nothing more boring than that. I like people to disagree with me, to disagree with each other, to have lively discussions, to have spirited debates about all sorts of things." — Jeff Gemmill
