Project Runway

Project Runway
10/9c Lifetime
The catwalks, catfights and catcalls finally return when the wardrobe-themed reality hit launches its sixth season. The off-season wasn't seamless, however: The show jumped networks and landed on Lifetime after a lengthy and public legal row. All that aside, it's now time for fashion fun with a full night of Runway programming. (Project Runway: All-Star Challenge airs at 8/7c; Models of the Runway airs at 11/10c.) Los Angeles is the new setting for Season 6 when 16 fresh clothiers compete in the usual fierce fashion-themed heats, designing their ware at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Series staples Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn return, as do judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia. — Dean Maurer

Ace of Cakes
10/9c Food Network
Duff, Geof and Mary Alice take a bite out of the Big Apple when they head there to deliver a cake replica of the new Yankee Stadium. Re-creating the complex structure is a challenge, and transporting it from Baltimore to the Bronx is definitely no piece of cake. But the crew's hard work pays off when they're invited to a behind-the-scenes tour of the ballpark. Back at the bakery, staffers work a unique bass-guitar cake for the Philadelphia Mummers. — Karen Andzejewicz

Models of the Runway
11/10c Lifetime
Tonight's three-show thread of Runway programming continues with the series premiere of this behind-the-scenes (behind-the-seams?) look at the models who chicly sport the judged garb in Project Runway. The companion piece introduces the 16 pert and sightly models, who hail from such lands as Singapore, Ireland, Israel, Japan and Venezuela. It's a clash for cash and a fashion spread when the lady posers try to make it work on the catwalk while eluding elimination. — Dean Maurer

SportsCenter Fantasy Draft Special
7/6c ESPN
Move over, baseball. The new national pastime gets underway over the next few weeks (as work production suffers) when fantasy football drafts take place for countless millions of faux general managers. If you're truly lost and haven't read a single page of the NFL preview mags, this one-hour primer could save you some embarrassment. The ESPN experts, featuring full-time fantasy geeks and actual former players, are ready with suggestions on first-round selections; where to take the first tight end, kicker and defense; and whether or not Michael Vick's name should be called out at any draft. — Roger Leister

Grey's Anatomy
9/8c ABC
This repeat from October helped us get to know the new (Mc) kid on the block: just-hired trauma-surgery chief Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd), the former Army doc who got steamy with Cristina in the Season 5 opener. Owen's brash manner might have turned Cristina on, but it causes steam to rise from the ears of attendings and residents alike. Meanwhile, the chief gives Bailey new powers and a daunting assignment to go with them: operate on a girl's inoperable tumor. — Paul Droesch
