He has won six Grammys, including one this year. He performed at President Obama's pre-Inaugural concert at the Lincoln Memorial. He gave a commencement address at an Ivy League college (University of Pennsylvania's College of Arts and Sciences, his alma mater). And this morning, John Legend is headlining a GMA summer concert in New York City's Central Park. Evolver, the R&B superstar's latest album (his third) recently went gold, and he'll be supporting it on tour this summer. — Paul Droesch

The Today show is capping off its weeklong push to get viewers involved with grassroots efforts to help U.S. troops. The finished "Wall of Heroes" is being unveiled and displayed today. Also, 10 wounded soldiers are receiving the VIP treatment for a performance by the Dave Matthews Band, who have kicked off a summer tour in support of their new album, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. And finally, Tom Brokaw reports live from Normandy to commemorate the 65th anniversary of D-Day. — Brie Hearn

The epic battle between the Sea Shepherds and the Japanese whaling fleet continues in tonight's second-season premiere. Committed to saving as many whales as possible from illegal fishing in the waters around Antarctica, Paul Watson leads his crew of volunteers on their latest outing. However, a huge storm, a broken gyro and a sea of ice are obstacles that must first be overcome before this group can even think about confronting the Japanese. — Rhoda Charles

In the opener of the documentary series examining brain afflictions and the patients who try to overcome them, we meet a determined woman who wants to swim in a race at the 2012 Paralympic Games. However, there is one big hurdle between her and game day: She must first regain her motor skills, which is no easy feat considering that the right hemisphere of her brain was surgically removed when she was 17. — Michael Chant
