Real Time with Bill Maher

Dollhouse
9:01 pm/ET Fox
Is this it? After a rocky early going, the Joss Whedon series hit its stride mid-season — storywise, that is. Ratings, unfortunately, are another story, which may make tonight's first-season finale the finale, period. The episode continues Alpha's Echo obsession, wraps up Ballard's Dollhouse search and finds an Active being permanently disabled — let's just hope the same isn't so for the show itself. — Jeff Gemmill

Dog Whisperer
9 pm/ET National Geographic
Animal lovers and potential pet owners should tune in for this special episode, which follows Cesar Millan as he investigates the shadowy world of puppy mills. For the first time in his life, he gets a firsthand look at the inhumane conditions inside some factory-like breeding operations in Los Angeles County. Then, he rescues and rehabilitates 11 traumatized dogs considered worthless by breeders. — Karen Andzejewicz

Numbers
10 pm/ET CBS
Henry Winkler reprises his role as disgraced FBI agent Roger Bloom in a suspenseful puzzler in which he becomes the chief suspect in a series of deadly copycat bank robberies. Bloom insists he is not involved, but Don isn't convinced, and the question of whether Bloom is guilty or not divides the team. Another person divided is Charlie. Is his future in academia or law enforcement? The episode's chilling ending may help make up his mind. — Tim Holland

Real Time with Bill Maher
10 pm/ET HBO
With so many critical issues facing the world today, it's hard to know what Maher will have time to address on his weekly roundtable show. Since Associate Justice David Souter plans to retire in June, however, one might think an important topic would be the Supremes — and we're not talking Diana Ross et al. But whatever tonight's discussion includes, it will likely be a lively one with scheduled guests Reza Aslan, James Carville, Naomi Klein, Seth MacFarlane and Matt Taibbi. — Joe Friedrich

Ghost Whisperer
8 pm/ET CBS
Nothing sucks the fun out of making wedding-day preparations like vampires. Melinda takes some time away from her marital plans to help a young woman, played by Alexa Vega, who thinks she's being visited by vampires---and they're probably not the Edward Cullen variety. — Bill Ecklund

Christian Finnegan: Au Contraire
11 pm/ET Comedy Central
You may know comic Christian Finnegan from his appearances on Chappelle's Show, VH1's Best Week Ever or Countdown with Keith Olbermann, but tonight is an opportunity to spend a full hour with him in a new comedy special. Taped at the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, Finnegan tackles a host of topics, including middle-school horror stories, aging, high fives, photo etiquette and sex toys. — Joe Friedrich
