Tonight's TV Hot List for Saturday, March 28, 2009

Kids Choice Awards, Host Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

NCAA Basketball Tournament
4:30 pm/ET CBS
This year's long NCAA tournament road ends in Detroit, and after today's championship games in the East and West regionals, two teams will be able to say that they made it to the Final Four. The other pair of participants in next Saturday's semifinals will be determined tomorrow. —Dave Roeder

Kids' Choice Awards
8 pm/ET Nickelodeon
With film credits that include Race to Witch Mountain and The Game Plan, Dwayne Johnson is no stranger to kid-friendly fare. But how will he handle getting slimed? That remains to be seen when he hosts tonight's 22nd annual bash. One of the evening's highlights will likely be the Jonas Brothers' performance. Also, Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman are among the many celebrities scheduled to appear as we find out the winners for Favorite Song, Favorite TV Show and Favorite Video Game. —Jennifer Sankowski

Figure Skating
9 pm/ET NBC
U.S. champion Alissa Czisny and World Junior champ Rachael Flatt are considered possibilities for the podium this evening — but they're not the favorites. With Japan's defending world champ Mao Asada, and South Korea's Yu-Na Kim expected to battle for the gold, the big task for the American skaters may be to secure three spots for the U.S. in next year's Olympics. That would require a combined placement of 13 (for instance, finishing in fifth and eighth place). —Dave Roeder

Penguins of Madagascar
9:30 pm/ET Nickelodeon
Relegated to sidekick status in the Madagascar films, the comical penguins of the Central Park Zoo get to claim their rightful place in the spotlight in their very own animated series. Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private will be putting their commando skills to good use as they save each other and their neighbors at the zoo, including "King" Julien and his fellow lemurs. For their first adventure, they decide to take a vacation on the moon to get away from those noisy lemurs. —Jennifer Sankowski

MADtv
11 pm/ET FOX
There aren't many new episodes left of the sketch-comedy series as it nears the end of its 14-year run, and this one should be smokin'. Seminal stoner comics Cheech and Chong light up a spliff — whoops, I mean spoof — of 24 with Bobby Lee. —Fred Mitchell
