Among the stars squaring off in rung-climbing business battles: singers Clint Black, Brian McKnight and Tionne Watkins; comics Andrew Dice Clay, Tom Green and Joan Rivers; sports figures Dennis Rodman, Herschel Walker and Scott Hamilton; and actress-models Claudia Jordan and Brande Roderick. The season lifts off with the celebs baking and selling cupcakes, but it won't be a piece of cake: The not-so-sweet challenge is marked by culinary slipups and a surprise taste test. —Dean Maurer

Flight attendants Christie and Jodi narrowly missed being eliminated on the first two legs of the race. Perhaps their luck will change when the nine remaining teams visit Romania and search for buried coffins near Dracula's castle. One thing that could be in their favor is that a first-place duo gets shuffled to the rear of the pack when their plane is forced to make an unexpected landing. —Tim Holland

So much has been bubbling beneath the surface lately  — Nora's reaching out to Ryan; Holly sussing out Tommy's plan to get rid of her at Ojai; and the tension between Kitty and Robert  — that a single episode just won't do this week. Well, what do you know? In a special two-hour event, the Walkers' joy at welcoming another member is blindsided by a new crisis in Kitty and Robert's marriage, and Tommy's plot looks like it's beginning to unravel. As for Ryan? Hmm...maybe two hours isn't enough either. —Joe Friedrich

Tom Selleck reprises his role as stoic New England police chief Jesse Stone in the solid fifth installment of the TV-movie series. As always, Jesse is in trouble with local officials, but this time he's also the target of an Internal Affairs investigation in Boston after he's involved in a gunfight that leaves his friend, Commander Healy, seriously wounded. Back, too, is pitch-perfect Kathy Baker as officer Rose Gammon, who persuades Jesse to help a distraught out-of-state mom search for her missing child, who may be living in Paradise. —Tim Holland

With Project Runway on hold, Stylista a bust and Top Model so yesterday, what's a fashion fan to watch? How about this snazzy inside look at Marie Claire? In the promising opener, three interns arrive in New York City to begin their jobs at the magazine, and their competitive natures immediately come to the forefront. In addition, Nina Garcia of Project Runway fame joins the magazine as its fashion director. —Tim Holland
