"Patriots QB Tom Brady was in a car accident this morning. He was not hospitalized and is expected at Gillette Stadium today," the team tweeted. "Reports that he's ok."
The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. at an intersection that is three blocks from Brady's home, Boston Police Department spokeswoman Elaine Driscoll told The Associated Press.
While the two-time Super Bowl MVP walked away unscathed, the passenger in the other vehicle had to be freed from the car and was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries that aren't considered life-threatening, Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald said.
