Ann Curry hasn't even left the building but NBC may have already found her Today replacement.
Savannah Guthrie, who co-hosts Today's 9 o'clock hour and has filled in for Curry before, has been formally offered Curry's position, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Is NBC replacing Ann Curry on Today?
News broke last week that NBC was planning to replace Curry, with her possibly taking on a new role at NBC. THR reports that Curry will indeed stick with NBC News after her exit from Today. The move is expected to come before the network's extensive coverage of the London Olympics in July.
Should Hoda Kotb replace Ann Curry on Today?
Guthrie was previously reported to be a frontrunner, though Radar Online recently reported that Hoda Kotb could take the seat next to Matt Lauer. The site also reported that if Kotb replaced Curry, Regis Philbin would then take over Kotb's duties co-hosting the fourth hour of Today with his former co-host Kathie Lee Gifford.
