Thomas Haden Church has been cast alongside Matt LeBlanc in Showtime's new comedy Episodes, according to Variety.
Matt LeBlanc to star in Showtime and BBC's Episodes
Church will play larger-than-life TV executive, Merc, who buys a hit British series and ruins it when he tries to Americanize it. The actor is scheduled to appear in six of the seven episodes ordered.
LeBlanc will play a parody of himself in the single-camera show-within-a-show comedy, a co-production of Showtime and BBC. Church also joins Claire Forlani, Kathleen Rose Perkins and Stephen Mangan. Shooting begins mid-May in Los Angeles and London.
Church starred as Sandman in Spider-Man 3 and was nominated for an Oscar for his supporting role in Sideways.
