District 4 has found its mentor. Lynn Cohen has landed the role of Mags in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Lionsgate announced Thursday.
Cohen, who is most famous for playing Miranda's housekeeper-turned-nanny on Sex and the City, will play the 80-year-old former Games champion.
Jena Malone joins Catching Fire cast
In the anticipated sequel, Mags mentors District 4's champion Finnick Odair during the Quarter Quell. She soon becomes allied with Katniss and plays a crucial role in the Games. The much-speculated-about role of Finnick remains uncast, but Sam Clafin is reportedly the frontrunner.
Cohen joins other Panem newbies in Catching Fire, including Jena Malone as Johanna Mason, Philip Seymour Hoffman as gamekeeper Plutarch Heavensbee and Amanda Plummer as Wiress.
