The Terminator reboot has found its Sarah Connor. Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has landed the plum role, Deadline.com reports.
Sarah Connor, portrayed by Linda Hamilton in the original franchise, is the mother of John Connor, who will eventually lead The Resistance to take down Skynet. Zero Dark Thirty's Jason Clarke (no relation) is in negotiations to portray John, while Arnold Schwarzenegger will return as the titular Terminator.

The film, which will be helmed by frequent Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor, is tentatively scheduled for release in July 2015.
Fun fact: Clarke may be able to get some tips from her Game of Thrones co-star Lena Headey, who portrayed Sarah Connor on Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. In addition to a new Terminator film, X-Men: First Class writers Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller are also working on a possible new Terminator TV series.
Do you think Clarke will make a good Sarah Connor?
