Taylor Swift

She knew you were trouble when you walked in ... the door of her new $17 million mansion.

Taylor Swift recently purchased a mansion in Rhode Island for a cool $17.75 million — and paid for it in cash, TMZ reports. The pop sensation negotiated the final figure from the original asking price of $20 million, according to TMZ.

Swift has had her eye on the mansion, which spans more than 11,000-square feet and sits on a 5.23 acre plot of land in Westerly, R.I., for a few weeks and took a tour on April 15, TMZ reports.

The multi-platinum singer may have a budding career as a real estate mogul. Last month, she turned a $1 million profit after selling a home she had purchased in Massachusetts less than a year prior.
