Taye Diggs can't stay away from home too long these days — not with his newborn son, Walker, waiting for him.
"I just love coming home," Diggs tells Us Weekly. "I said before — it's like a great prize waiting at home."

The Private Practice star and his wife, Idina Menzel, welcomed Walker on Sept. 2., and the baby boy is simply a "joy that can't be explained," Diggs says.
"I love his smile," he says. "He's always smiling."

Walker is the first child for the couple, who wed in 2003 after meeting on the Broadway production of Rent in 1996.
