The Private Practice star was in for a scary surprise when he returned home from the SAG Awards Sunday night and caught a 20-year-old man trying to break into his house, E! News reports.

The suspect, Hassan Juma, started to flee on foot, but Diggs chased him and was able to detain him until police arrived, the LAPD tells E!.
Juma was charged with felony burglary and is being held on $50,000 bail, according to the report.
